Psychology Program
B.A. in Psychology

Mark Hager, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology
"The Menlo College Psychology curriculum provides students opportunities to delve into areas applicable in both business and human services. Our faculty emphasize traditional foundations and critical current affairs like cross-cultural issues and communication and counseling skills, so our students graduate with a strong psychology background, prepared to succeed in graduate school and professional careers. Capitalizing on our reputation as Silicon Valley's Business School, the Psychology program is developing a track in Organizational Psychology to further enhance students' academic and career opportunities."
At various times, psychology has been considered the study of the human soul, the study of the human mind, and the study of human behavior. Some people study psychology empirically; others consider psychology to be an art. The Psychology program at Menlo College emphasizes the traditional liberal arts psychology courses, yet includes topical courses that explore the most current psychological issues such as sports psychology and human sexuality.
This is an example of a possible guideline for on-time graduation from Menlo College. For full requirements and prerequisites, please refer back to degree checklists or the course catalog. Students must also pass the English Proficiency Exam in order to graduate.
