February 10, 2012 Menlo College hosts a series of events to celebrate Black History Month and honor the history and accomplishments of the black community. The Black Student Union, with support from the Student Government Association (MCSGA) and office of Student Affairs, organized a full schedule of educational and entertaining activities for Menlo students, faculty and staff. “I think celebrating Black History Month is extremely important, especially to Menlo campus because there are so many African Americans studying,” said Jessica Mumford, President of the Black Student Union and Director of External Affairs for MCSGA. “I am really excited that in our incoming class we are getting more African American students, and hope next year their number will grow even more.” Schedule of events February 169pm “Teach me how to…”Dancing session, where students can learn how to dance.
