At Menlo College, we pride ourselves on having a diverse student body. More than half our students identify as non-white, and our international students represent 47 different nations in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Africa. Nearly a quarter of our faculty come from countries other than the US.
Menlo College was designated as both a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) in 2019. These designations are granted by the U.S. Department of Education, and only 1% of all colleges and universities in the United States attract sufficient student diversity to warrant both HSI and AANAPISI designations.
In Fall 2022, 31% of students identified as Hispanic/Latino, 22% identified as non-resident, 17% identified as White, 10% identified as two or more races, 9% identified as Asian, 4% identified as Black/African American, 2% identified as Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and 1% identified as American Indian or Alaska Native. Menlo has also increased accessibility to higher education for first generation students. In 2022, 27% of students identified as first generation.
Menlo alumni live and work in more than 88 countries around the world. They form an international network of support and advice. “Being part of the Menlo family has opened doors with other alumni in business and otherwise. The Menlo bond goes very deep.” says Ben Efraim ’80.
