At Menlo College, we pride ourselves on having a diverse student body. More than half our students identify as non-white, and our international students represent 47 different nations in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Africa. Nearly a quarter of our faculty come from countries other than the US.
Menlo College was designated as both a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) in 2019. These designations are granted by the U.S. Department of Education, and only 1% of all colleges and universities in the United States attract sufficient student diversity to warrant both Hispanic-Serving Institution and Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander-Serving Institution designations.
In Fall 2024, 32% of students identified as Hispanic/Latino, 23% as international, 16% as white, 10% as two or more races, 10% as Asian, 5% as Black, and 2% as Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander. Menlo has also increased accessibility to higher education for first generation students. In 2024, 40% of freshmen reported that they were the first in their family to attend college.
Menlo alumni live and work in more than 88 countries around the world. They form an international network of support and advice. “Being part of the Menlo family has opened doors with other alumni in business and otherwise. The Menlo bond goes very deep.” says Ben Efraim ’80.
