Accounting – Major

Accounting

In today’s dynamic economic landscape, accurate financial analysis and reliable accounting information are crucial for effective decision-making. Menlo College’s Accounting degree equips you with the skills needed to excel in this essential field. Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering both financial and managerial accounting, enriched by practical internship experiences to ensure you gain real-world insights.

The Accounting Major is designed to prepare a student for a career in accounting, either in the corporate arena, or in public accounting. Accounting majors select one of two possible tracks: Accounting Major (for non-CPA students) or Accounting Major – CPA Track (for students seeking to meet the requirements to take the CPA exams in the state of California).

For those interested in the CPA designation, please consult the requirements set by the Board of Accountancy in your state. While Menlo College provides the necessary educational units, CPA exam preparation requires additional individual study. Note that CPA licensure is not a requirement of the Menlo College Accounting program, but is essential for those pursuing a CPA career in California.

Explore how Menlo College can be your gateway to a successful accounting career.
