Biography

Born and raised in San Francisco and currently lives in San Mateo. Don is a Viet Nam war veteran having served in the United States Navy for 6 years active duty with 4-1/2 years aboard a guided missile destroyer and completed three tours in the Viet Nam area.

After leaving the military Don worked in Silicon Valley for the next 30 years primarily in the computer and telecommunications systems industries. Don worked in senior and executive management for 21 of his 30 years in private industry, primarily in an Operations role overseeing, manufacturing, product engineering, information technology, corporate quality. Don retired from his private industry in September 2001. From 1983 until the present Don has been teaching in higher education as an adjunct faculty member at Golden gate University, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame de Namur University and Menlo College.

Don and his wife enjoy traveling to Europe which they have done annually over the last 15 years with Italy their favorite country and Paris their favorite city. An avid sports fan, a strong follower of the SF Giants, SF 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. An avid golfer who has been playing golf on a regular basis since he was 8 years old.
