Advice for Prospective Students

Never hesitate to ask for help or speak up with questions — that’s how we learn and grow. No one comes into this world knowing everything, and you’re not expected to either. We’re here to support you, guide you, and create a space where you feel safe to be yourself.

Remember, you’ll never know what’s possible if you’re always stuck wondering “what if?” Take the leap — you might surprise yourself.

Why I Chose Menlo

I chose Menlo because it immediately felt like the right fit the moment I stepped on campus. After spending my first year at a CSU, I realized that a smaller, more close-knit environment was exactly what I needed — and Menlo offered just that.

My Favorite Things to Do in the Surrounding Area

I’m all about being outdoors! I usually run locally around the neighborhood to stay active, but when I want a change of scenery, I love heading out to Poplar Beach, hiking through Muir Woods, or exploring nearby trails. Being surrounded by nature—whether it’s trees, the beach, or fresh air—is where I feel most at peace.

My Favorite Spot on Campus

My favorite spot on campus is the little area between the library and Flo Mo. It’s cozy and surrounded by trees, with some nice benches nearby to sit and relax. It’s close enough to the quad to feel connected but still feels like a peaceful little hideaway — the perfect spot to take a break or get some fresh air.

Fun Facts About Me

I spent about 7 years boxing prior to taking up running, I also play the flute, and I know some sign language!
