Eligibility and Duration: • Freshmen students are eligible for financial aid for a total of 8 semesters, while transfer students can receive aid for up to 6 semesters. Transfer students who have completed fewer than 24 degree-applicable units may qualify for aid for up to 8 semesters. These semesters do not need to be consecutive.
Enrollment Requirements: • Recipients must apply and remain continuously enrolled as full-time undergraduate, resident students in good academic and social standing.
Application and Review Process: • A financial aid application must be completed to determine eligibility for state or federal aid. • Menlo College will review awards annually.
Usage and Conditions of Institutional Aid: • All institutional aid can only be used in Fall and Spring Semesters. • Menlo grants/scholarships are intended for individual use and not for any group, institution, or organization. • All grants/scholarships awarded by Menlo are subject to meeting the College’s admission requirements and are not transferable.
Stacking and Limits: • Not all institutional scholarships and awards can be stacked with other scholarships. Contact the Office of Financial Aid to confirm if your scholarship can be stacked. • Institutional aid cannot be applied toward student fees or insurance costs. • Housing awards may be reduced if the application of the award would produce a credit balance on the room & board portion of the student’s account (e.g., if a student receives offsets for their room & board fees in recognition of their service as a resident assistant, the housing award would be reduced proportionately) • The combination of all grants and scholarships cannot exceed the total cost for tuition, housing, and meals. • After being packaged, students must receive no other institutional aid except as approved by the Dean of Enrollment. • All awards are based on space availability and criteria may change from year to year based on state and federal funding. • Scholarship renewal requires that you meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements and are enrolled in at least 12 units each semester.
