Adjunct Professor: Sports Management

Position Description:

The School of Business and the Sports Management Program at Menlo College invite applications for adjunct faculty to teach courses at the undergraduate level. Specifically, we are looking for individuals with expertise or experience teaching topics related to introductory sports management and/or sports history.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty is to deliver instruction of the assigned course(s) in the manner determined by the School of Business at Menlo College. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Preparation of syllabus (i.e., updating existing syllabus) and teaching of curriculum for the assigned course(s) according to the learning outcomes of the School of Business and Sports Management Program
  • Determine student mastery of material and assign final course grades from evaluation of tests, quizzes, homework, and other assignments and activities related to course material
  • In collaboration with full-time faculty, collect and share students’ assessment input for course and/or program assessments

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Sports Management (or a closely related field) from a regionally accredited institution is required
  • At least 1 – 3 years of college teaching experience or a combination of teaching and professional experience

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
  • Complimentary buffet lunch during the Fall and Spring semesters on the teaching days
