The Assistant Director of Student Financial Resources serves as both a front-line resource for undergraduate and graduate students and families, and is an integral member of the Student Success team, which includes financial aid and academic advising. On the student-facing side, this position helps students understand and resolve financial obligations, explores payment options, and connects students and families with the resources they need to pay for college. Financial resources in this role refers to the full range of tools students use to cover the cost of attendance, including: federal and state grants, education loans, scholarships, payment plans, college savings plans, veteran and military benefits, student employment opportunities, and international payment options.
On the operations side, this position supports the Financial Aid Office by assisting with reconciliation, compliance, and other administrative tasks that ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds. This includes verifying that federal, state, and institutional financial aid records reconcile with campus systems and external agencies. By balancing both student coaching and operational responsibilities, this position plays a vital role in supporting student success while safeguarding institutional integrity.
