Menlo College seeks a qualified instructor to offer Human Biology Lab (BIO 102) to non-major undergraduate students. BIO 102 is the lab component for BIO 101 Human Biology, which covers the creation and function of the human organism. The Spring 2026 sections we are seeking to fill will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 6:10 pm to 8:50 pm. Candidates can also apply to teach one section with compensation adjusted for one credit.
The successful candidate should have received an earned doctorate or MS in Biology or in a related field prior to the start of the Spring 2026 semester (January 2026). Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of effective undergraduate teaching as the instructor of record. Candidates must be able and qualified to teach undergraduate biology classes. They must also possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a collaborative and collegial environment.
The position reports directly to the Dean of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will collaborate with Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Wei Gordon to ensure effective coordination of Human Biology curriculum/sections and assessments of student learning.
