Menlo College is located in the epicenter of innovation, with some of Silicon Valley’s most innovative companies right in our back yard. Innovation is central to Menlo’s strategic plan and is evident in the opportunities our students have as interns in Silicon Valley, in our entrepreneurship and design thinking courses, and in our support of entrepreneurial-minded students.
Opened in October 2017, the Menlo College Innovation Center is a welcoming community created through the creativity and dedication of our University Innovation Fellows and the generosity of an alumni supporter. Open to all students, faculty, staff, and alumni, the Innovation Center is a space where creativity thrives and potential is maximized.
The Center is open to everyone on campus—regardless of role or major. Although it shares a name with the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” major, the Innovation Center is designed to inspire all and help cultivate an educated citizenry ready to thrive in the fast-changing workplace of today and tomorrow.
Menlo College is more than pleased to participate in the University Innovation Fellows (UIF), which is a program of Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. The program was created as part of the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation, a five-year National Science Foundation grant, which was led by Menlo College Trustee, Dr. Tom Byers.
