INSY 507: Data Repositories and Cloud Infrastructure

Unit(s): 3

Cloud technologies serve as the collection of services and solutions many organizations develop on, deploy on, rely upon, and conduct critical business on for their day-to-day operations. Many organizations have migrated away from more traditional data repositories and the data systems to cloud data lakes and the platforms and tools that are appropriate for the myriad use cases associated with reporting, aggregating, analyzing, and, ultimately, making decisions based on the resulting conclusions. This course endeavors to present the variety of cloud service and deployment models as well as the various services and solutions associated with accommodating sizable data repositories along with the infrastructure, platforms, and software tools used to mine the data contained in those repositories.
