INSY/FINT 506: Information Systems in the Digital and Global Economy

This course will provide an understanding of the issues involved in the strategic management of the information assets of organizations in the age of modern digital technologies, such as cloud, mobile devices, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning. This course will also examine the issues and challenges that Information Technology (IT) management executives face in developing a technology, data, and analytics strategy that supports the firm’s business and operational strategies. The focus will be on managerial rather than technical issues and transforming IT from a cost center to a profit center.
