Biography

Dr. Emily Saidel studies the intersection of popular culture and politics through a feminist lens. She has previously held lecturer positions at the University of Michigan and Boston University. Her work examines narratives about the federal government in fictional American television, as well as issues of representation within televisual paratexts and video games. Before her doctoral education, she worked in performing arts administration and arts in higher education.
