Biography

Born and raised in Redwood City, Giselle Martinez earned her master’s degree in COmmunity Health and Prevention Research from Stanford University. Through her research, she contributed to trauma research initiatives, studying learning differences and is currently working on investigating the design of supportive educational environments. She currently teaches PSY 305: Psychology of Human Development Across the Lifespan and PSY 103: Professional Development in Psychology, courses she is very passionate about. A passionate traveler, she draws inspiration from educational practices around the world. In her spare time, she performs as a mezzo-soprano vocalist in a gigging 70s soul band.
