Biography

Dr. Adams is an educator dedicated to helping college students apply what they learn in the classroom to real-life situations, preparing them to navigate the world with confidence, purpose, and integrity. His pedagogy emphasizes critical thinking, self-awareness, and social responsibility, encouraging students to see themselves as agents of change in their communities. As a proud Bay Area native, Dr. Adams draws from his deep roots in the region to connect with students through shared cultural and social experiences. As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he brings a disciplined, mission-driven approach to teaching while fostering spaces for reflection, growth, and resilience. His background as a former high school football player informs his belief in teamwork, perseverance, and mentorship—values he integrates into every aspect of his work. Dr. Adams is especially committed to supporting first generation college students in their transitions from high school to higher education and into their careers, ensuring they are equipped not just academically, but holistically for life.
