Dr. Du was a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point (UWSP) prior to joining Menlo College. At UWSP, she taught courses in introductory financial accounting, intermediate financial accounting, and introductory managerial accounting, delivering them in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. Additionally, she led a study-abroad program and offered the course “Data Visualization for Decision Making” within the MBA program. Dr. Du holds both CPA and CMA certifications and has volunteered with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. At Menlo College, she hosts tax workshops specifically tailored for international students.
Her research primarily focuses on financial accounting, auditing, and accounting education. Recent studies include examining the impact of CFOs’ accounting education on earnings management decisions, investigating whether corporate social media disclosures reduce information asymmetry, and exploring effective methods to prepare accounting students for a data-intensive curriculum.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and cooking.
