  • Master of Fine Art in Painting and Drawing from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago

Biography

Sung Jae Bang is a painter and multimedia visual artist who was born in Seoul, Korea. He finished his undergraduate studies in painting from the Seoul National University and moved to the United States for his Master Degree from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.
During this time, he explored various media and formats in visual art such as digital media and video installations. He presented his multi disciplinary and video installation works at the DuPage Children’s Museum(Naperville, IL) and his solo exhibition at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL).
After he finished his school in Chicago, he moved to the Bay Area and integrated his paintings, digital media and ceramic techniques into his works with the vibe of California. His works were selected and exhibited in Berkeley Art Center and City of Berkeley Civic Center (Berkeley, CA). He also operated the Gallery Suha Suha which participated in the San Jose Art Walk in downtown San Jose.
