Dr. Wen-Chi Yeh

Assistant Professor of Accounting

Biography

Dr. Wen‑Chi Yeh joined Menlo College after earning her Ph.D. in Accounting from Rutgers Business School. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, providing her with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in both accounting and economics. She has taught financial accounting and has extensive experience supporting instruction in managerial accounting, corporate finance, derivatives, and accounting information systems at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Dr. Yeh’s research interests include financial accounting, earnings and price forecasting, and the application of machine learning techniques to accounting and finance. Her dissertation investigates how models such as XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, ARIMA, and panel VAR can be applied to forecast earnings, prices, and dividends. She also serves as a peer reviewer for journals such as the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting and Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies.

In her free time, Dr. Yeh enjoys reading, traveling, and discovering great food.
