Your health is important to us.

We’ve compiled a list of information and wellness resources to help you stay healthy.

Health Insurance

Any full-time student who is registered and attending classes at Menlo College is required to have health insurance coverage.

If you have other health insurance, such as coverage under your parent’s or employer’s insurance plan and you do not wish to enroll in the Menlo College sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), you must submit a waiver application. Each student will receive emails from AHP to set up an account. Once the account is created, a student may waive in or opt out of the plan. Also, once an account has been created, you may then login here.

Travel insurance will not be accepted. Travel insurance plans are not adequate and will not meet waiver standards. Additionally, international students will be REQUIRED to purchase the school health insurance.

Eligibility, insurance network, downloading ID card, and plan overview can be found here.

You will be automatically enrolled in SHIP and charged unless you provide proof of comparable coverage and submit a waiver by the waiver deadline.

Waiver Deadlines for 2024-25

Fall Semester
Opens: June 18
Closes: September 9

Spring Semester
Opens: December 4
Closes: January 27

If you do not have other health insurance or would like to be enrolled in the Menlo College-sponsored SHIP, you can also self-enroll through the waiver portal by opting into SHIP. The advantage of self-enrolling is that you will not have to wait for the waiver deadline date to have active SHIP coverage. Each student will receive emails from AHP to set up an account, once the account is created, a student may enroll in the plan.

In order to submit the insurance waiver, you must have access to your Menlo College email account. If you have not set your Menlo password or accessed your campus email account, please contact helpdesk@menlo.edu.

For more information about the Menlo College Student Health Insurance Plan, please visit menlo.mycare26.com. For eligibility and enrollment questions, please call (800) 537-1777. For benefits questions, please contact Aetna customer service by calling (855) 236-2138.

Any requests to appeal a waiver denial must be emailed to ashley.brankovich@menlo.edu by September 9, 2024 to be considered. In order to be considered for a waiver appeal, you must send the denial letter along with a picture of your primary insurance card. If you have additional questions that can not be answered with the supplied information, you may email ashley.brankovich@menlo.edu
